UKSOL CEO contributes to Government Review on Responsible Business Conduct

UKSOL is proud to share that our CEO, Andrew Moore, recently took part in a strategic policy interview with the UK Government’s Department for Business and Trade (DBT), contributing to its ongoing review of Responsible Business Conduct (RBC).

Hosted by DBT’s Strategic Consultancy Unit, the discussion focused on aligning UK business practices with global standards for sustainable development, ethical supply chains, and corporate due diligence.

Andrew Moore shared UKSOL’s perspective as a British solar panel manufacturer and active exporter to over 50 countries, with input on:

  • Ethical sourcing and supply chain transparency

  • Risk mitigation across international markets

  • Meeting RBC expectations under UK and international frameworks

  • Export-related challenges tied to ethical standards

  • The operational realities for UK SMEs maintaining compliance

“As a British-led manufacturer, we’re proud to lead by example in how responsible business can be a competitive advantage,” Andrew said.
“We support efforts to make RBC policy practical, proportionate, and internationally aligned — especially for SMEs and exporters like us.”

UKSOL’s contribution was part of its ongoing role as a UK Government Export Champion, a programme that recognises businesses demonstrating excellence in international trade and responsible commercial leadership.
