UKSOL sponsors new solar panel installation at Farnham Common Sports Club

UKSOL is proud to sponsor a new solar installation at Farnham Common Sports Club, bringing clean, renewable energy to the heart of the local community.

The project will see 48 high-efficiency solar panels installed on the clubhouse roof, alongside battery storage to help the club store and optimise its green energy use. This initiative marks a major step in reducing the club’s carbon footprint and long-term energy costs — a real example of sustainability in action.

As part of the celebration, Farnham Common Sports Club will offer free floodlight use for tennis during a trial period starting 5 November. Tokens will be available free of charge, helping members experience the benefits of renewable energy first-hand.

Installation begins on 21 October, with minimal disruption expected. Some scaffolding will be in place around the south end of the clubhouse, and brief indoor works may occur in the exercise room.

This partnership reflects UKSOL’s commitment to empowering communities with sustainable solar solutions — from local clubs to large-scale infrastructure projects.
