The British Embassy in Viet Nam choose UKSOL Solar Panels

The British Embassy in Hanoi, Viet Nam, have installed UKSOL 445w half cell solar PV modules on the Ambassadors official residence as part of their COP 26 drive to reduce carbon emissions.

The British Ambassador to Viet Nam commented on the project by saying, ”I am delighted that these solar panels were finally installed at the Residence. There are many advantages of small-scale residential solar: eliminating the need for extra land, keeping cost-saving benefits in local communities, empowering households to become prosumers of renewable electricity, and raising awareness of wasteful consumption habits and environmental issues through direct experience.

With the digitisation of the energy industry, we are now entering the energy world of the future. Photovoltaics are playing an important role, given that they will soon be the most cost-effective energy source in all regions. To exploit their full potential, we will need to connect photovoltaics with storage, e-mobility and other sectors and integrate them into the entire system.

According to experts, due to the characteristics of the equatorial region, Vietnam has a large and stable radiation volume for solar energy development. Data shows that Vietnam has an average solar radiation index of 3.5 kWh/m2/day. With the above index, we can install solar power in all locations in Vietnam.

As Vietnam’s hydropower potential is almost fully exploited and oil and gas reserves are running low, I do encourage you to use renewable energy, and I hope that in the future, more and more households will look at solar panels as an effective solution.”
